Following his law degree and bar admission, he served for four years as a research fellow in criminal law departments at leading Istanbul law schools, establishing a strong foundation in legal scholarship. He then spent eleven years with the tax and customs dispute resolution practice of a Big Four audit and advisory firm, where he developed comprehensive expertise across all phases and categories of tax and customs controversies. During this period, he further enriched his international perspective through more than five years of residence in Glasgow, Scotland.

Dr. Kapusuzoğlu earned his Ph.D. in Public Law from Galatasaray University, with a doctoral dissertation on tax evasion crimes—research that bridges his dual expertise in tax and criminal law. This unique academic-practitioner perspective enables him to navigate the complex intersection of tax disputes, administrative sanctions, and criminal liability.
